So, I got a little carried away. Unintentionally I became a strange blend of June Cleaver and Betty Draper...hm, Don Draper and June Cleaver...
Anyway, I can't help myself when it comes to retro fashion. It's awkward and cute.

As I am always looking for new ways to style my bangs I settled for the mini victory roll. A bit tricky with short bangs but do-able. I then curled the rest of my hair in all the same direction, pinned it in a low swoop off to the side, then twisted the curls to be one. Notice my cute button earrings that I made!
My cobalt blue dress with white polk-a-dots buttoned all the way up. This was a thrift store find somewhere in WI. My new favorite cardi, mustard yellow-orange over top. The red belt and red shoes are a bit matchy, but I didn't seem to mind.
I got so caught up in the moment that it wasn't until I was ready to walk out the door that I realized I was a bit over dressed for the occasion and venue. A sports bar for beer and wings with casual friends. I decided to unpin my hair, leaving in the victory roll, loosened up my color, removed the belt and zipped on some boots. But don't worry, I didn't loose all the 50's flair, just softened the blow of Betty Draper barreling through the door. Katie May
you can definately own this look. superfun.
