it is a matter of inches

Well, in my case, a matter of many inches.  That is, what the difference is between a rather tame outfit versus something slightly whorish.  As I sleepily got dressed this morning, I was thinking if my heels were more intense, my skirt were shorter, and if I showed more skin, then this Friday office outfit would lean towards yikes.  But instead, I am my own normal kris powering through the final day of the week.  No big surprise with my vintage old lady shirt, jean skirt and belt, with my black boots.  Thanks to a wonderful concert last night (Yonder Mountain String Band), I was lucky to perhaps get 4 hours of sleep and I am already feeling the possibly hallucinating effects where your brain is buzzing and your body is under water.  It is that sort of what-is-going-on-?  tired.  The people who went to the show were a good mix of people, with your average hippies and college students, as well as us.  A quick glance at the slightly drunk and high crowd shows that long hair in a ponytail for either gender is the current look for a sweaty, bouncy concert.  And, I was thinking in the eternal struggle of WHAT TO DO WITH MY HAIR, I realized that only a few more (more) inches and I to could do the ponytail thing again.  It is good to have an attainable goal these days.
