what has sprung?

Spring has.  The promise of a sunny day after work was enough motivation to wear one of my beloved short-sleeved polyester shirts.  Of course I had to wear it under a sweater until I actually get in some sunshine.  This shirt is all about being frivolous – the clashy overkill of colors and hypercute flowers.  It is old, static-y, and does not breathe at all but it is still a great choice for a warmer spring day.
I was wondering to myself about my interactions with social media – whether it is this blog or facebook.  I tend to be rather lighthearted on the scale of flippant to important.  I guess I like to add playfulness to my daily life – some silliness - since it helps to counteract my nature of taking things too seriously.  And, this shirt is the embodiment of this attitude.  I was wondering why I do not wear it more often, but then during my commute after work as I am finally in sunshine, I feel that sort of stickiness that only unnatural materials (like polyester) provide and then I am reminded why.  But still, it is an awesome shirt.
